Tennis great Roger Federer and world’s richest person and Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates played tennis pro John Isner and Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready in a doubles charity match to benefit Federer’s foundation on Saturday here in Seattle.
It was all packed for the Match for Africa 4 with Roger Federer as main protagonist. In the 17,000 people KeyArena stadium in Seattle, Washigton, the Swiss player defeated John Isner 6-4 7-6(7) and then in a one-set doubles match alongside the Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates . He beat Isner and the guitarist Mike McCready.
The event raised more than two million dollars, all benefiting the Roger Federer Foundation, which is working in various social sectors of Africa, education and health being at the forefront of their efforts
