The cricket body NZC-New Zealand Cricket has been given the green signal by the government to activate the New Zealand international cricket scene from year end.

According to NZC the first two tours which will take place are of Pakistan and West Indies teams during later this year and early 2021.

During the press conference NZC officials explained that details of the international season during summer will be announced next week. Further, the Pakistan and West Indies men’s teams will tour during the three months – November till January.

NZC is also expecting that the Bangladesh team will tour for a limited-overs international series. The Australian women’s team is also expected to tour during February 2021.

Due to coronavirus pandemic the NZC officials said that the biosecurity ‘bubble’ model which was applied by England to host recent series with Pakistan and West Indies will be used.

The New Zealand government has specified that strict protocols will be applicable for all visiting teams.
