Thibaut Pinot guaranteed a second fierce peak triumph on stage 19 of the Vuelta a España.

The Frenchman took after the most grounded climbers on the Coll de la Rabassa, and snuck past Simon Yates only 200 meters from the finish line to assert the win.
Yates substantiated himself a commendable race pioneer, completing second on the stage and separating his closest adversary Alejandro Valverde by over a minute.
Meanwhile, in the general standings, Valverde clutched his 2nd place, while LottoNL-Jumbo’s Steven Kruijswijk recovered the last platform spot in the wake of completing only 13 seconds behind Yates.
Thibaut Pinot is the third French rider in the last 20 years to win multiple stages in the Vuelta in a single year, after Warren Barguil in 2013 (2 wins) and Nacer Bouhanni in 2014 (2 wins) #LaVuelta18
