John Robert Isner won his first ever Masters 1,000 title with a narrow victory over German Alexander Zverev. The professional athlete came back in the match after a nervous opening and finally won the trophy in the Miami Open event.

The final scores were 6-7 (4-7) 6-4 6-4 for the winner John Isner.

The 32-year old Isner showed great integrity as he defeated the world number 17 and cemented his spot in the top 10 once again.

A pretty confident Isner had won the match against his rival in a dominant win over the in-form Juan Martin del Potro in the semi-finals.

So, he was pretty composed when he came into this match and was pretty sure that he could easily clinch the title.

Zverev gave him a tough time but Isner showed great composure to hold his ground and win the final match to lift the trophy.
