COLOMBO: Pakistan outplayed the Sri Lankan in 2nd T-20 International Match of the series by 83 runs and locked the unreachable lead of 2-0 in 3 T-20 match series.

The 2nd T-20 match of the series was played today at BRC Ground Colombo.

Pakistan won the toss and this time decided to bat first. Captain Nisar Ali and Muhammad Rashid again sent to open their innings and they yet again provided the 150+ opening stand to Pakistan. Muhammad Rashid got out after scoring 58 runs off 36 balls. Pakistan first wicket fell down at the score of 160 runs. Riasat Khan tried to get some quick runs and was run out after scoring 24 runs off 7 balls.

Thereafter, Badar Munir joined Nisar Ali and played rampant strokes. His 22 ball 59 runs, rocketed Pakistan score to 294 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 2 wickets. Badar smashed 2 long sixes and 8 fours in his unbeaten inning.

Nisar Ali’s knock was the hall mark of the Pakistan innings, he scored consecutive century in as many as T-20 matches, he remained not out on 125 runs off 60 balls, he hit 20 fours to reach this milestone. A. Silva was the only bowler to claim a wicket for Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka had to chase 295 runs in 20 overs to keep the series alive and square. Sri Lanka opener A. Silva played a splendid knock of unbeaten 106 runs off 53 balls but proved insufficient to reach the gigantic target.

Pakistan restricted the hosts to 211 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 2 wickets. Shafiullah and Ayoub Khan claimed a wicket piece.

Result: Pakistan won by 83 runs 

Syed Sultan Shah, Chairman Pakistan Blind Cricket Council gave man of the match award to A. Silva.

The 3rd and last T-20 match will be played tomorrow on 1st March 2019 at BRC Ground Colombo, Pakistan will play for another series whitewash and Sri Lanka will try for a consolation win.
