Match 1 of 10: Southhampton Vs Chelsea

Result: 2 – 3

Goal Scorers:

·         Southhampton: Dusan Tadic 21’, Jan Bednarek 60’

·         Chelsea: Olivier Giroud 70’, 78’

Highlights:

·         Southhampton were ranked 18th in the premier league table while Chelsea ranked 5th on the rankings table.

·         However, Chelsea were given a scare by the underdogs as Southhampton put up a good fight in the first half.

·         Dusan Tadic scored at the 21st minute in the 1st half while Chelsea failed to net a single goal during this period.

·         Southhampton looked threatening in the 2nd half too as Jan Bednarek scored at the 60th minute to extend the lead by 2 -0.

·         But, Chelsea made a comeback in the match that was inspired by Olivier Giroud who scored at the 70th minute. He was followed by Hazard who scored three minutes later to level the scores.

·         The tie-breaker goal was also scored by Olivier Giroud as Chelsea won the match and retained their 5th position on the table.

·         And, this is the trait that won them this match. Burnley FC scored their two goals under 10 minutes and the score after the first half was 2 – 0.

·         Leicester City tried their best to make a comeback in this match however, they could only manage to score one goal at the 72ndminute.

·         This resulted in Burnley FC winning the match by 1 goal in the end.

Highlights:

·         This premier league season was not going well for Swansea City as the team ranked 17th in the league table.

·         Today was no different than that. Swansea City had got a lead in the 1st half of the match.

·         However, an own goal by Kyle Noughtan forced Swansea to draw with Everton.

·         Everton were pretty happy with the win as they were nowhere near of winning this match.

·         Swansea City had the most shots on target and also had the highest amount of possession. But, a silly mistake by their player denied them the win against a Top ten ranked team in the premier table.

Match 4 of 10: Crystal Palace Vs Brighton 

Result: 3 – 2

·         Crystal Palace: Wilfried Zaha 5’, 24’, James Tomkins 14’

·         Brighton: Glenn Murray 18’, Jose Izquierdo 34’

Highlights:

·         A very close match throughout the game as both teams battled to the very last minute.

·         Brighton and Crystal Palace have had many average performances this year but today’s match was very special.

·         Both teams showed the intent to win and improve their rankings on the premier league table.

·         All the action was witnessed in the first half as both teams struck their respective goals in the first half.

·         However, the hero of the match was Wilfried Zaha who scored two goals one of which was also the tie-breaker of the match.

Match 5 of 10: Huddersfield Vs Watford

·         Huddersfield: Tom Ince 90+1’

Highlights:

·         Huddersfield and Watford’s match was quite an interesting and exciting one.

·         Both teams showed great line of defense in the whole match but it was Huddersfield’s Tom Ince who made this game dramatic.

·         The scores were level at the 90th minute. However, when the referee gave extra minutes Huddersfield player Ince found his opportunity as he struck a goal at the 91st minute.

·         This was quite surprising and dissatisfying for Watford who had kept things tight for the whole match.

·         But, Tom Ince’s brilliance deserved this goal as he helped his team climb from three places up the Premier league table.

Match 6 of 10: Liverpool Vs Bournemouth

·         Liverpool: Sadio Mane 7’, Mohamed Salah 69’, Roberto Fimino 90’

Highlights:

·         Liverpool had a great week and this win only added a little more joy to it. This was the first match of Liverpool after they had toppled the Premier league toppers, Manchester City in the Champions League.

·         Bournemouth on the other hand were no match to Liverpool forwards as they were demolished by them in no time.

·         Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino struck in a chronological order to hand the low ranked team with another loss.

·         Mohamed Salah looked indispensable as ever in this match as this was his 30th goal as he retains his position as the top-scorer in the premier league.

Match 7 of 10: Manchester City Vs Tottenham

Result: 3 – 1

·         Tottenham: Christian Eriksen

Highlights:

·         The last match of the day was a high profile one. It was the Premier league toppers Manchester City Vs Tottenham who currently ranked 4th in the league table.

·         This was Manchester City’s first match post their loss to Liverpool in the quarterfinals of the Champions League. So, they were looking for a win to forget the loss and move on.

·         So, the match started and as expected Manchester City struck two goals in three minutes to take the lead.

·         But, Tottenham replied well with a goal in the 1st half and the goals were now 2-1.

·         In the 2nd half Raheem Sterling further extended his team’s lead by scoring at the 72nd minute.

·         Finally, the referee blew the whistle and the match ended as Manchester City added another 3 points to remain at the top of the table.
