Premier League: Manchester City Claim Title With Five Games To Spare 

Match 1 of 10:  Liverpool Vs Stoke City

Result: 0 – 0

Highlights:

·         As expected, Liverpool were the stronger team in today’s match.

·         However, Stokes City were pretty resilient in their defense techniques as they did not allow Liverpool to score a single goal.

·         What’s interesting is that Liverpool took 20 shots at the goal and only 2 of them were on target.

·         Even Mohammad Salah, couldn’t manage to score a tie-breaking goal as Stokes City forced Liverpool to draw the match.

·         The draw did not affect the standings on the premier league table as both teams retained their respective positions.

Match 2 of 10:  Crystal Palace Vs Leicester City

Result: 5 – 0

Goal Scorers:

Crystal Palace: Wilfried Zaha 16’, James McArthur 37’, Ruben Loftus-Cheek 80’, Patrick van Aanholt 83’, Christian Benteke 89’ (P)

Highlights:

·         It was a show of dominance by Crystal Palace as they demolished Leicester City by scoring 5 goals.

·         Leicester City were completely decimated as all 5 goals came from different players as none of them scored twice in this match.

·         Although, there was not much of a difference when it came to possession, however it was the shot accuracy of Crystal Palace that was absolutely phenomenal.

·         2 goals were scored in the 1^st while the other 3 goals were scored in a matter of 9 minutes as Crystal Palace handed Leicester City a humiliating defeat.

Match 3 of 10:  Huddersfield Vs Everton

Result: 0 – 2

Highlights:

·         Everton were the favorites in this match as they stood at number 8 in the premier league table as compared to Huddersfield who stood at 16^th.

·         Although, Huddersfield gave tough time to Everton however, it was Everton who won the match in the end.

·         Cenk Tosun struck in the 1^st half to gave his team the lead. Huddersfield tried to level the game by scoring a goal, but Idrissa sealed the game as he netted the ball at the 76^th minute.

·         So, after this win Everton managed to retain its position at the points table at the 8^th position.

Match 4 of 10:  Burnley FC Vs Brighton

Result: 0 – 0

Highlights:

·         Burnley FC could have won this match but they were denied a strong penalty claim by the referee as they neither side scored any goal.

·         Overall, the match seemed pretty balanced as both teams had decent possession of the ball throughout the match.

·         However, it was Burnley that remained ahead when it came to shot accuracy but even this stat could not help them in scoring a goal.

·         It was Burnley who were disappointed as they as if they had won this match they could easily have overtaken Arsenal in the points table.

Match 5 of 10:  Newcastle Vs West Brom

Result: 0 – 1

Highlights:

·         It looked like West Brom had regained their confidence after they beat Manchester United last week.

·         Despite being the last in the points table West Brom did not lose hope as they beat Newcastle; All thanks to a stunning goal by Matt Phillips.

·         Although, Newcastle dominated most of the match in the possession department. However, it was West Brom who fought back and finally managed to score a goal in the 1^st half.

·         Not only that, but West Brom did not allow Newcastle who stand 10^th in the premier league to improve their rank in the table.

·         West Brom is showing signs of improvement and if they continue this performance they might save themselves from finishing at the bottom of the table.

Match 6 of 10:  Southhampton Vs Bournemouth

Result: 2 – 1

Goal Scorers:

Southhampton: Dusan Tadic 24’, 53’

Bournemouth: Joshua King 45’

Highlights:

·         It was Dusan Tudic whose double-strike was the highlight of today’s match as he helped his team to win over Bournemouth.

·         Bournemouth looked in prime form as they dominated the ball possession.

·         However, it was Dusan who took his chances whenever the ball came to him and it paid off as he scored two goals to win the match.

·         Scores were level after the first half, however Dusan who looked in good touch scored the tie-breaker at the 53^rd minute to push his team ahead.

·         After that Bournemouth could not make a comeback in this game as Southhampton won the match.

Match 7 of 10:  Swansea City Vs Chelsea

Result: 0 – 1

Goal Scorers:

Chelsea: Cesc Fabregas 3′

Highlights:

·              A nail biting finish as Chelsea won the game against Swansea City by one goal.

·              Chelsea already took the lead as soon as the match started as Cesc Fabregas scored at the 3^rd minute of the match.

·              Chelsea, who stand 5^th in the premier league table retained their position as beat Swansea City in a tough match.

·              Both teams had equal chances to score, however it was Chelsea who showed extreme composure to win the match.

·              With this win Chelsea are now closing on Tottenham as another win would place them 4^th at the premier league table.
