Result: Bethanie Mattek-Sands and Lucie Safarova defeated Kaia Kanepi and Andrea Petkovic by 6-4, 6-4.

Result: Katerina Siniakova and Barbora Krejcikova defeated Arantxa Parra Santonja and Lara Arruabarrena by 4-6, 6-4, 6-4.

Highlights:

  • Katerina Siniakova and Barbora Krejcikova took a perfect start by taking the lead in the opening set of the match.
  • However, they failed to win the set in the end as Arantxa Parra Santonja and Lara Arruabarrena won the set by scoring the last two points first in the end.

  • In the second set, Katerina Siniakova and Barbora Krejcikova responded to them as they snatched the victory this time from Arantxa Parra Santonja and Lara Arruabarrena by 6-4.
  • Again a tough battle was witnessed between the two pairs in the third set but again, the Czech pair, Katerina Siniakova and Barbora Krejcikova sealed their win in the end by a total of two points.
  • Katerina Siniakova and Barbora Krejcikova will now play against Lucie Hradecka and Hsieh Su-wei in the round of 16 of Wimbledon 2018.

Result: Mihaela Buzarnescu and Irina-Camelia Begu defeated Kaitlyn Christian and Ana Bogdan by 6-2, 6-2.

  • In the first set, Mihaela Buzarnescu and Irina-Camelia Begu gave a humiliating defeat to Kaitlyn Christian and Ana Bogdan as they both failed to score more than a total of two points.
  • However, Kaitlyn Christian and Ana Bogdan again struggled hard in the next set but they again failed to win it in the end as they both were only able to make a total of two points throughout the set.

  • Mihaela Buzarnescu and Irina-Camelia Begu finally made it to the round of 16 where they will face Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez and Andreja Klepac in the Wimbledon 2018.

 

Double’s: Andrea Sestini Hlavackova and Barbora Strycova vs Harriet Dart and Katie Dunne

Result: Andrea Sestini Hlavackova and Barbora Strycova defeated Harriet Dart and Katie Dunne by 6-2, 6-4.

Highlights:

  • Harriet Dart and Katie Dunne faced a terrific defeat in the first set as they were only able to score a total of two points in the first set.
  • However, the British pair, Harriet Dart and Katie Dunne put up a good fight in the second set as the score became levelled at 4-4.

  • But in the end, Andrea Sestini Hlavackova and Barbora Strycova again claimed the victory in this set as they scored the last two points in quick succession.
  • Andrea Sestini Hlavackova and Barbora Strycova sealed their place into the round of 16 where they will face Bethanie Mattek-Sands and Lucie Safarova in the Wimbledon 2018.
