Single’s: Jelena Ostapenko vs Aliaksandra Sasnovich

Result: Jelena Ostapenko defeated Aliaksandra Sasnovich by 7-6(4), 6-0.

Highlights:

  • The Latvia star player, Jelena Ostapenko gave an exquisite and stunning performance in both the sets against Aliaksandra Sasnovich.
  • A sensational battle was witnessed in the opening set of the match between the two players, as the set eventually came to a tie-breaker.

  • However, in the end, Jelena Ostapenko sealed her victory in the first set as Aliaksandra Sasnovich dropped some points on her serve in the tie-break.
  • An eye catching performance was witnessed by Jelena Ostapenko in the next set as she was scoring points at a very fast pace.

  • Jelena Ostapenko won the second set too as she did not let ALiaksandra Sasnovich to make a single point throughout the set.

Single’s: Kiki Bertens vs Karolina Pliskova

Result: Kiki Bertens defeated Karolina Pliskova by 6-3, 7-6(1).

Highlights:

  • An absolute and worth-watching performance was witnessed between Kiki Bertens and Karolina Pliskova in both the sets.

  • Although, the Czech star player, Karolina Pliskova was looking confident while playing at the start of the first set, but she started dropping points after some time.
  • Kiki Bertens eventually won the set by a margin of three points as she scored the last three points in quick succession.

  • However, a brilliant and outstanding performance was witnessed in the second set as it eventually came to a tie-breaker after the scores were levelled at 6-6.

  • After a resilient fight, the Dutch player, Kiki Bertens managed to seal her win in the second set too by 7-6(1) as Karolina Pliskova dropped many points on her serve.
  • Kiki Bertens finally sealed her place into the Quarter finals of Wimbledon 2018 where she will now play against the German star player, Julia Gorges Wimbledon 2018.

 

Single’s: Dominika Cibulkova vs Hsieh Su-wei

Result: Dominika Cibulkova defeated Hsieh Su-wei by 6-4, 6-1.

Highlights:

  • The Taiwanese player, Hsieh Su-wei put up some fight in the first set but she eventually lost it in the end as she was only able to recover a total of two points.
  • However, in the next set, Dominika Cibulkova was playing great as she was scoring points at a very fast pace.

  • In the end of the second set, Hsieh Su-wei faced a humiliating defeat from the Slovak star player, Dominika Cibulkova as Hsieh Su-wei was not able to score more than a single point throughout the set.
  • Although, Dominika Cibulkova made a total of four double faults as compared to Hsieh Su-wei who made only one, but still the Taiwanese star player, faced defeat in both the sets.

  • Dominika Cibulkova finally sealed her place into the Quarter finals where she will play against the Latvia star player, Jelena Ostapenko in Wimbledon 2018.

 

Single’s: Camila Giorgi vs Ekaterina Makarova

Result: Camila Giorgi defeated Ekaterina Makarova by 6-3, 6-4.

Highlights:

  • The Italian star player, Camila Giorgi played very well throughout the match against Ekaterina Makarova.
  • In the first set, Camila Giorgi was not playing well as she was losing points on double faults.

  • However, she managed to win the set in the end as the Russian player, Ekaterina Makarova failed to score more points on her serve than Camila Giorgi.
  • In the second set, Ekaterina Makarova put up a great fight as the score became levelled at 4-4.

  • However, Camila Giorgi claimed her victory in this set too in the end as Ekaterina Makarova failed to score the last two points first in quick succession.
  • Camila Giorgi finally booked her place to the Quarter finals where she will now play against the American star player, Serena Williams in the Wimbledon 2018.
