Single’s: Angelique Kerber vs Belinda Bencic

Result: Angelique Kerber defeated Belinda Bencic by 6-3, 7-6(5).

  • However, a brilliant and an exquisite performance was witnessed in the next set as the set eventually came to a tie-breaker after the scores were equalized at 6-6 after a tough fight.
  • After a long time, the German star player, Angelique Kerber managed to seal her win in the second set too by 7-6(5) as Belinda Bencic dropped many points on her serve.

  • Angelique Kerber finally sealed her place into the Quarter finals of Wimbledon 2018 where she will now play against the Russian star player, Daria Kasatkina.

 

Single’s: Serena Williams vs Evgeniya Rodina

Result: Serena Williams defeated Evgeniya Rodina by 6-2, 6-2.

Highlights:

  • The Russian player, Evgeniya Rodina put up some fight in the opening set of the match but she eventually lost it in the end as she was only able to recover a total of two points.

  • However, in the next set, both the players were scoring points in the start at a very fast pace.
  • But in the end of the second set, Evgeniya Rodina faced a terrific defeat from the American star player, Serena Williams as Evgeniya Rodina was not able to score again more than two points throughout the set.

  • Serena Williams gave a stunning performance throughout the match as she scored a total of ten points on an ace as compared to Evgeniya Rodina who scored a total of zero points on an ace.

  • Serena Williams finally sealed her place into the Quarter finals where she will now play against the Italian star player, Camila Giorgi in Wimbledon 2018.

 

Single’s: Daria Kasatkina vs Alison Van Uytvanck

Result: Daria Kasatkina defeated Alison Van Uytvanck by 7-6(6), 6-3, 6-2.

Highlights:

  • The Russian star player, Daria Kasatkina gave an exquisite and absolute performance against Alison Van Uytvanck throughout the match.
  • A resilient fight was witnessed in the opening set of the match between the two players, as the set eventually came to a tie-breaker after the scores were levelled at both sides.

  • However, in the end, Daria Kasatkina sealed her victory in the first set as Alison Van Uytvanck dropped some points on her serve in the tie-break.
  • In the second set, again a brilliant performance was seen by Daria Kasatkina as she easily dominated the Belgian player, Alison Van Uytvanck by a margin of three points in the end.

Single’s: Julia Gorges vs Donna Vekic

Result: Julia Gorges defeated Donna Vekic by 6-3, 6-2.

Highlights:

  • The German star player, Julia Gorges played very well throughout the match against Donna Vekic.

  • In the opening set of the match, Donna Vekic was not playing well as she was losing points on double faults constantly.
  • In the end, the Croatian star player, Donna Vekic failed to win the set as Julia Gorges scored the last three points in quick succession.

  • In the second set, Donna Vekic was scoring points confidently at the start of the set.
  • But in the end, Julia Gorges gave Donna Vekic a humiliating defeat as she was not able to score more than a total of two points throughout the set.

  • Donna Vekic made a total of six double faults as compared to Julia Gorges who made a total of only two double faults throughout the match.
  • Julia Gorges finally booked her place to the Quarter finals where she will now play against the American star player, Kiki Bertens in the Wimbledon 2018.
