Highlights:
- Jaime Mata defended a merited point for Getafe in a 1-1 draw at LaLiga rivals Celta Vigo.
- Mata ventured off the seat to flame home a 2nd-half equalizer after Maxi Gomez had headed Celta into an interim lead.
- Gomez struck his 4th goal of the season, with a pounding header from outside the penalty territory following Hugo Mallo’s cross in the 33rd moment.

- Getafe rushed to react, with Jorge Molina shooting a calculated shot against the crossbar two minutes after, Angel Rodriguez compelling a superb spare from home goalkeeper Sergio Alvarez.
- The two sides kept on making chances in the 2nd half, however it was Getafe who broke the present state of affairs when Mata, a 66th-minute substitute for Mauro Arambarri, drove home a low shot to equalize the scoreboard, with only 12 minutes left on the clock.
- Alvarez delivered another urgent spare to keep out Robert Ibanez’s low exertion in the end stages and Getafe goalkeeper David Soria Solis guaranteed a point for his side when dismissing Brais Mendez’s shot.
