  • The Pakistan blind cricket team created history in their match against Australia at the ongoing World Cup. The Pakistani team scored a massive 563 runs while batting first. In doing so, the Pakistan team broke their own record, of 517 runs scored against South Africa in 2010 in Cape Town, for the highest score posted in a 40 over match. Amir Ashfaq scored a brilliant century to propel the men in green to the gigantic total. He scored 208 runs of just 95 balls in a whirlwind innings which left the Australian team reeling. Ashfaq was also part of an impressive 300 runs partnership with Sana Ullah, who scored 143 runs off 69 balls. Chasing the mammoth total, the Aussies fell well short and were all out in just 31.5 overs after having scored only 169 runs. Stefan Palmer top scored for them with 71 runs off 74 balls. Pakistan won the match by an impressive margin of 394 runs.
