PSA-Pakistan Scrabble Association has announced the Pakistan team that will take part in the inaugural Youth Scrabble Championship 2022. To be played at New Delhi, India from 25th to 27th November 2022, the event is for the top Asian youth players aged under 18 years.
Mr. Tariq Pervez, Director Youth Program of Pakistan Scrabble Association, while announcing the team explained that the selection has been on merit and based on national rating and respective performances.
WESPA Youth Cup 2021: Pakistan Win Both Team and Individual Titles
Mr. Tariq, expressed the hope that Pakistan, being the No. 1 youth team in the world, will return home with the trophy. It is a very strong team featuring the reigning world youth champion Syed Imaad Ali and former national champion Hasham Hadi. Evidencing the calibre of scrabble in Pakistan, it is interesting to note that two ten year olds; Ahmed Salman and Bilal Asher were also able to included in the team.
