Winning the toss Karachi Kings Captain opted to bat first, keeping in view the ability of the team and pitch calculations.

The openers Babar and C. Munro gave a solid start. With a well thought out strategy a solid score was piled up in the start, with an equaled highest power play record in PSL 4

However, the King’s run-scoring momentum was contained and after 11 overs, the score-board showed 108-3. This was due to the excellent bowling and fielding by Team United.

The bowlers from the Kings especially Muhammad Musa and Faheem Ashraf with their controlled bowling conceived minimal runs.

Despite a well managed start, Karachi Kings were not able to consolidate and score a worthwhile target. The innings terminated at a target of 162 Runs from 20 overs.


Islamabad United Innings

The Islamabad United, opener were Ronchi and Delport. From Karachi Kings side, Imad Wasim and Mohammed Amir shared the ball.

Islamabad United’s hopes started shrinking at the start when the opener Ronchi, departed.

However, Delport and Hales saved the day for Team United by their amazing performances.

The bowlers of Karachi Kings performed satisfactorily, however, were not been able to keep the opponents from building up their score-piles.


Islamabad United were ultimately able to make it to the winning position, as the target of 162 runs was chased. The King’s bowlers Amir Yamin and Umer Khan bowled well but their effort could not become a game-changer.


The Eliminator match  of PSL-4 was won by Islamabad United by 4 Wickets.
