Twitter Reactions: Cricketing World Hails Virat Kohli On His First Century In England
Virat Kohli without any help, fought against the England bowlers in unforgiving conditions and scored a glimmering century on the second day of the 1st test between India vs England.
Although, Kohli struggled at an opportune time in the innings while confronting the rocking duo of James Anderson and Sam Curran, and was even dropped in the slip cordon by Dawid Malan once on 21 and the other time on 52.

Nonetheless, once he got settled runs flowed from the Indian captain’s bat as he reached a magnificent hundred and further added 49 runs after which Adil Rashid finally claimed his wicket.
This century helped India to to achieve 274 runs, only 13 short of England’s aggregate of 287. Furthermore, Virat Kohli completed his 7000 test runs as a captain in only 124 innings. This was even faster than the legendary Brian Lara who achieved this feat in 164 innings.
