How the WESPA Scrabble World Ranking Works – RJR System

WESPA moved to the RJR Rating System on 1 January 2025. All tournament games since 1 January 2006 are now rated. Core rules:

  1. Eligibility: 50+ WESPA-rated games and activity within 24 months to appear on the Scrabble World Rankings.
  2. Starting Point: New players begin at 1500.
  3. K-Factor: Depends on rating deviation. Players with fewer recent games move faster.
  4. Event Weight: WESPAC, Summit Cup, and national championships carry full weight.
  5. Inactivity: Players drop off the active list after 2 years without WESPA-rated play.
