Annemiek Van Vleuten substantiated herself the quickest over the moving parcours of the UCI Road World Championships women’s time trial in Innsbruck.

The Dutch lady was the main rider to push past the 48 kilometers for each hour stamp, with a period of 34 minutes 25 seconds, constituting to 48.3 km every hour over the 27.8 km course.
Van Vleuten’s assurance to recover the title she won a year ago was apparent in her choice to not participate in the team time trial on Sunday, and pave the way to Tuesday’s race training at high altitude in Livigno, Italy.
Over the later half of the season, Van Vleuten has devastated the opposition, winning the Giro Rosa, La Course, the Boels Ladies Tour – and also driving the UCI Women’s WorldTour.

Her win pushed countrywoman Anna van der Breggen into 2nd place – denying the ruling Olympic street race champion a chance to eat up her first world title by an edge of 28s.
The altogether Dutch platform was adjusted off by previous rainbow jersey and current European champ, Ellen Van Dijk.
English riders Alice Barnes and Hayley Simmonds were 22nd and 23rd individually, completing 3-42 and 3-47 behind the victor.
