LAHORE: The 2020 edition of Pakistan’s most prestigious Polo tournament, National Open Polo Championship for the Quaid-e-Azam Gold Cup 2019, entered into its Final phase.

PBG Risala and ASC teams qualified for the final, which will be played on Sunday, 8th March 2020 at one of the worlds oldest Polo fields, known as Aibak ground at the Lahore Polo Club.

Interestingly, both the finalist teams have participated after a long gap in the Lahore Polo season, especially the highest ranking event.

The subsidiary-final will be between Pebble Breakers and Guard Group/Artema Medical teams.

The National Polo Championship, was introduced in 1963 as the El Effendi Cup presented by Brig HM el Effendi. In 1977, it was renamed as Quaid-e-Azam Gold Cup.

The 2020 edition is being sponsored Zameen, was participated by six teams which include the best International and Local players. The teams are:
