Pak Junior Golfers in Vietnam

The five member Pakistan Junior Golf Team comprising of three boys and two girls  reached Vietnam for participating in the 13th Faldo Series Asia Grand Final to be contested at the Laguna Lang Co. Golf Course in Da Nang in Vietnam.
 

This Championship starts today and for the next four days the young talent will be fighting it out against champions from other countries of Asia Pacific.

Representing the country in boys section are M. Arsalan in the under 21 years age bracket, M. Saqib in under 18 years category and the youngest one is Damil Ataullah in the under 16 years age group.

As for Girls the two selected ones are Humna Amjad in under 16 years and Rimsha Ijaz in under 21 years.

Dr Asma Shami, the Chairperson of Ladies Golf in Pakistan is the Manager of the Pakistan Junior Golf Team selected after a series of trials.

For ensuring noteworthy performance, the Pakistan Golf Federation arranged a four days training camp at the Defence Raya Golf Course. And while Brig (r) Bajwa served as the golf coach, Max Babri looked after the mental aspects and his two lectures inspired the young team members as they learnt the art of crisis handling. Based on the technical training the team looks more battle hardened and ready to go into a combat with the best young ones of Asia.

All these selected juniors have excelled over their adversaries at the national level in Pakistan and Dr Asma Shami feels confident about their ability to perform impressively in the 13th Faldo Series Asia Grand Final.

The Laguna Golf Lang CĂ´. is located within the greater Laguna Lang CĂ´ integrated resort. The championship course constituting of 18 -hole, par-71 was designed by Sir Nick Faldo, the six time major winner.

Designed for variety and players of all levels, measures a little under 7,100 yards from the championship tees and a beginner friendly 5,263 yards from the front tees.
