Pakistan – 4th PBCC Blind Cricket Premiere League: Commences In Bahawalpur

BAHAWALPUR: The 4th Pakistan – PBCC Blind Cricket Premiere League 2018 was inaugurated at the Dring Stadium Bahawalpur. The event will be played from 9th to 12th November 2018 at Dring Bahawalpur. Teams from Karachi, Bahawalpur, Multan and Faisalabad are taking part in this event. To make this league competitive, best players of Pakistan Blind Cricket Team have been distributed in all team.

The league was inaugurated by Mr. A. Khan, Deputy Commissioner Bahawalpur, Syed Sultan Shah Chairman PBCC & Ex-President World Blind Cricket. Mr. Jam Raees Azam, Divisional Sports Officer, Bahawalpur and Syed Salman Bokhari, Director Marketing PBCC were also present on the occasion.

The first match details were as follows:

1st Match: Bahawalpur Vs Karachi

Venue: Dring Stadium, Bahawalpur

Bahawalpur defeated Karachi by 9 wickets in the first match of the league. Put into bat, Karachi made 178 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 7 wickets. Muhammad Akram scored 93 runs but wasn’t enough to put a par score on the board. Shahzaib, Mujeeb and Ijaz claimed a wicket a piece.

Pakistan T20 Blind Cricket Trophy ’18: Grade 1 – Bahawalpur Champions

Bahawalpur chased the target of 179 runs in 14.2 overs for the loss of only 1 wicket. Muhammad Rashid’s brilliant ton made this target easy for Bahawalpur. He remained unbeaten on 107 runs. Kashif was the only bowler to claim a wicket.

Result: Bahawalpur won by 9 wickets

Man of the Match: Muhammad Rashid

2nd Match: Faisalabad Vs Multan

Venue: Dring Stadium, Bahawalpur

Faisalabad nailed down Multan in a thriller. Batting first Multan made immense total of 246 runs on the board for the loss of 4 wickets in 20 overs. Mosin Khan and Matiullah scored 50’s.

In reply, Nisar Ali’s unbeaten 185* runs inning helped Faisalabad to seal last ball victory. Faisalabad lost 4 wickets during the process.

Result: Faisalabad won by 6 wickets
