Bahria Golf City Pines Golf Club where the 1st FEGA All Pakistan Ladies Amateur Golf Championship 2018 is being held

ISLAMABAD: Federal Golf Association (FGA) in collaboration with Pakistan Golf Federation (PGF) are holding 1st FEGA All Pakistan Ladies Amateur Golf Championship 2018 from 12th to 14th October 2018, at the Bahria Golf City Pines Golf Club situated at Murree Expressway.

45 ladies are registered to participate in this annual event. The participating ladies are from the following clubs of Pakistan:

  • Karachi Golf Club
  • DHA Golf & Country Club Karachi
  • Gymkhana Lahore
  • Defense Raya Lahore
  • Lahore Garrison Golf Club
  • Royal Palm Country Golf Club
  • Margalla Greens Golf Club
  • Rawalpindi Golf Club
  • Airmen Golf Club
  • PAF Golf Club
  • Piffer Golf Club
  • Wah PAF Golf Club

World Golf Rankings – 8th October ’18: Sung Hyun Park Retains Top Spot

Ms. Zeenat Ayesha, on behalf of the host club, Islamabad Golf Club welcomed the participants and announced the plan of events for the following 3 days. The first day she informed, was to be played for the Gold Category in which 9 lady golfers with handicap 0 – 15 are competing for the coveted spot. She further elaborated that the championship is open to all ladies with registered handicaps from their respective clubs. There are 4 categories announced for the Championship.

  • Category 1: Ladies Amateurs: β€―Goldβ€― – Handicap 0-15, Silver – Handicap 16-24, and Bronze Handicap 25-36.
  • Category 2: Senior Ladies
  • Category 3 : Invitees
  • Category 4 : Team Match: A team match will be played between Islamabad/Rawalpindi – Lahore – Karachi zones concurrently with the main match

Ms. Zeenat explained that the R&A and local Club rules will be followed. The main sponsors of the championship are UBank, Fauji Cement, AWT, Freelinemovers, and UBL while the championship is being held under the patronage of PGF & FEGA.

Ms. Ambreen Malik, CFO UBank, appreciated the efforts in promoting sports amongst ladies in Pakistan by FEGA. She resolved to support lady golfers to play such competitive matches and build their skills to compete at international forums as well. Ubank she said was resolved to be at the forefront of bringing sports inclusion in Pakistan by serving the lady sportswomen.

FORM OF PLAY was announced as β€œStroke Play”, over 54 holes for GOLD Category , over 36 holes for SILVER & BRONZE Categories , over 18 holes for SENIORS Category and over 9 holes For INVITEES.

PRIZES to be announced on Sunday 14th October 2018 will be for the following winners:

  • 2 Best Gross & 2 Best Net for GOLD
  • 3 Best Gross & 3 Best Net for SILVER & BRONZE
  • 1 Best Net for SENIORS
  • 1 Prize for INVITEES
