The 21st Asian Individual Squash Championship concluded at Mushaf Squash Complex, Islamabad.
Ladies Title was won by Tong Tszp-Wing and Men’s Title winner was Eain Yow Ng.
The Men event had a draw of 32 players whereas the Women event had 16 players’ draw. Apart from Pakistan, a group of international players, officials and referees from Hong Kong, Iran, Kuwait, Malaysia, Qatar, Singapore & Sri Lanka participated.
The Finals detailed results were:
Women Final: Tong Tsz Wing from Hong Kong bt Rachel Mae Arnold from Malaysia with a game score of 11-8, 13-11, 11-5 in 34 minutes.
Men Final: Eain Yow Ng from Malaysia bt Yip Tsz Fung from Hong Kong with a game score of 11-6, 13-11 and 11-9 in 40 minutes.
Senior Vice President, PSF Air Marshal Aamir Masood, as chief guest and distributed trophies and medals to the players. Squash legend Mr Qamar Zaman and Mr Jansher Khan also attended the closing ceremony, along with Mr Umer Saeed, CEO Combaxx Sports.
