Australian cricket legend Shane Warne who is regarded as one of the greatest cricket bowlers has died, aged 52.

In a day this is the second disturbing news for Australian cricket as another great – Rod Marsh passed away on Friday due to a major heart attack.

According to a brief statement of Shane’s management team, he passed away supposedly due to a heart attack during the early hours of Friday in Koh Samui, Thailand. Further, it was stated that Shane was in his villa and was unresponsive, the medical unit tried their best but he could not be revived.

Shane made his Test debut in 1992, and became a major figure across all formats of cricket game. He was part of Australia’s World Cup winning team in 1999.

During his incredible 15 years from 1992 till 2007, he took 1001 combined wickets from 145 Tests and 194 ODI’s. which were the highest for an Australian, and the second-most after Sri Lankan great – Muttiah Muralitharan.
