The third edition of eSailing World Championship has been launched with 170,000 players from all over the world competing in the virtual race to determine the world eSailing champion of 2020.

Developed by Virtual Regatta in partnership with the World Sailing Federation, the digital simulation of the sailing sport can be played on any mobile and computer system where players compete in real-time race to reach the finish line in the shortest possible time.

There is still a long way to go till the final of eSailing World Championship as the first round will see the Top 1,000 esailers qualify for the final playoffs based on a number of metrics including their total finish time.

From the playoffs qualifiers, Eight top esailers will compete in the live finale race of the championship for the ultimate title victory along with a $10,000 cheque.

Along with the World Championship, three National esailing Championships have also been launched in Italy, France, and The Netherlands with more countries expected to follow suit.

Launched in 2018, the eSailing World Championship has been attracting ever-increasing number of professional as well as casual players. Participants have increased from 16,200 in the first edition of the world championship to 170,000 in the latest one.
