Qatar is set to host all the matches of East Zone of the AFC Champions League 2020 in Doha. In this regard an agreement has been signed between AFC Asian Football Confederation and QFA Qatari Football Association.

The event is set to commence from 18th November and culminate on 13th December 2020.

No spectators will be allowed due to the corona pandemic and strict COVID-19 related SOPs will be implemented.

Qatar has recently held the matches of West Zone of AFC Champions League 2020, in which Iran’s Persepolis Football Club emerged victorious and will contest the Final of the AFC Champions League against the winner of East Zone tournament.

Qatar is also scgeduled to host the FIFA World Cup 2022.
