The last edition of the Hockey Champions Trophy went underway at Netherlands city of Breda, with an encounter between the arch-rivals, Pakistan and India.
Till the 54th minute the game was really close as India only led by one goal and Pakistan had the opportunity to equalize. However, in the last 6 minutes of the game, three goals were conceded by the green shirts and they lost the match.
Nevertheless, India deserved to win as they outclassed Pakistan in handling pressure in a high profile match.
- India: Ramandeep Singh (26’), Dilpreet Singh (54’), Mandeep Singh (57’) and Lalit Upadhay (60’)
- Possession: India 49.3%, Pakistan 50.7%
- Circle Entries: India: 22, Pakistan: 24
- Shots on goal: India: 6, Pakistan: 8
- Penalty Corners: India: 2, Pakistan: 1
India vs Pakistan Hockey Match today was on PTV National (a secondary channel) whereas PTV Sports had FIFA WC. An indication how low the national sport’s popularity has fallen in Pakistan. #Shameful

Never seen a hockey match with the goalkeeper taken off. Just allowed India to score two more. Easy then. 4-0!
