Highlights
Multan Sultans Innings

Winning the toss, Quetta Gladiators Captain opted to field first, keeping in view the ability of the team and pitch calculations.

The openers Shan and Vince initiated the match with light scores. Sultans score stood at 54-2 when after Vince and Shan departed.

After 10 overs, the score-board showed 68-3. This was due to strict bowling and fielding from Gladiator’s side, not allowing Sultans to build a run-scoring momentum.

The score-graph reached the peak level when the famous striker, Shoaib Malik stepped in to secure the boundaries. His half-century took the whole match to a next level and the Sultan innings were saved from collapse.

Shahid Afridi and Ali Shafiq departed for a duck, ensuing a collapsed lower order.

The bowlers from the Gladiators especially Irfan, Mudassar and Sohail Tanveer with their good bowling strategy conceived minimal runs.

The innings terminated at a target of 160 Runs from 20 overs.

Quetta Gladiators Innings

With a reasonable target to be chased, from Quetta Gladiators, Watson and Ahsan Ali came in to bat. From Multan Sultans, Ali Shafiq and Noman Ali shared the ball.

The innings started solid with Watson who managed to brilliantly score 61 off 40 deliveries. The openers remained steadfast and took the control of the match allowing them to easily chase the target.

The bowlers of Multan Sultans had rather fragile bowling strategy as none of them could minimize the score from the opposite site and the Gladiators remained strong in building up their score-piles. The only major breakthrough was the returning of Watson from the ground on Lala’s good bowl.

Gladiator’s Russouw continued the free will scoring performance and scored 67 Runs off 45 deliveries.

The chase seemed not difficult to achieve, owing to the epic performance of Watson and Rossouw.

The bowling spells of the Sultans seemed to have failed to incline the match to their side. None of the bowlers showed a remarkable spell and the purple force made it to the target sweeping across all the hurdles.

The match 8 of PSL-4 was won by Quetta Gladiators by 8 Wickets with still 9 balls remaining.
