Squash-26th Men’s World Team Championship ’19: First Time USA To Host

2019 WSF Men’s World Team Squash Championship title will be hosted for the first time it its 52 year history by USA during December 2019. The biennial World Squash Federation event will be played in Washington DC. from 15th – 21st December. 

The 26th edition to be competed by 23 Nations, will be organised by the US Squash at Squash On Fire. 

Besides the hosts USA, the other teams will be from: Argentina, Australia, Canada, Colombia, Egypt, England, France, Germany, Hong Kong China, Ireland, Jamaica, Kuwait, Malaysia, New Zealand, Nigeria, Republic of Korea, Scotland, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland & Wales.

The defending champions Egypt are the favourites. In the last event at Marseille, France, the Egyptian team won the title for the fourth time by defeating England in the final. The hosts USA since 1973 will be appearing for the 23rd time in the championships. During the 2017 event USA finished at 10th position.

Since 1967 when the championship was launched in Australia, the Men’s World Team Championship has been held in 12 countries.
