China will host its first Squash championship – 2018 WSF Women’s World Team Championship during September in the city of Dalian.

Dalian, is one of the major city and seaport in the Liaoning Province of China. The biennial World Squash Federation championship will be staged at the XiGang Gymnasium, from 11th -16th September.
The Women’s World Team Championship launched in 1979, has been played in 11 different countries across all 5 continents. Last during 2016 it was held in France when Egypt won the title for the third time, by beating the former champions England in the final which was played in Paris.
According to the organisers the venue will be equipped with four permanent all-glass courts, three all-glass show courts and with arena seating.
The WSF President, Jacques, while awarding the rights said, “China is a member of the world squash family that is displaying its maturity with this hosting. Already major international championships have been held in Shanghai and now women players from across the globe will be eager to play the World Team Championship in the city of Dalian.”
The event in China will certainly be a successful one, contributing to the development of squash in China as also the world.”

Squash in China is growing rapidly and hosting this prestigious championship validates our ability.”
The Vice-Dean of the Multiball Center of the General Sports Administration of China, Mrs Zhao Liping commented, “The Women’s World Team Championship 2018, which will be held in Dalian city of Liao Ning Province, is welcoming the top woman players from around the world to contest together.
