2nd CAS International Open Sailing C’ship ’19: Pak Sailors Sweep Medals
KARACHI:Ā The 2nd CAS International Open Sailing Championship 2019 concluded with theĀ Pakistan team of sailors dominating the medal table.
Held at PAF yacht club, Karachi the 2nd CAS International Open Sailing Championship had the following categories: Laser standard, Laser radial, Optimist, RSX.
The winners were:
- RSX category
*Ā Gold –Ā Raja Qasim Abbas, Pakistan
* Silver – M. Sajjad, Pakistan
* Bronze – Mami Safouan, Tunisia - Laser Standard category
*Ā Gold – M.Tanveer, PakistanĀ
* Silver – Muzammil Hussain, Pakistan
* Bronze – Najeeb-Ullah, Pakistan - Laser Radial categoryĀ
*Ā Gold – Khairunneeta Mohd Afendy, Malaysia
* Silver –Ā Hana Fatima Asad, Pakistan
* Bronze – Marium Asad Ali, Pakistan
In Optimist category, gold and silver medals were won by Master Panna Boonnak and Miss Thorfun Boonnak of Thailand, while Bronze medal was won by M. Abdullah Akram of Pakistan.
The championship was played from 23- 27 July, in which 57 sailors andĀ officials from seventeen countries (including Pakistan Sailing Team)Ā participated.
