The British cricket governing body, ECB England and Wales Cricket Board is considering the early match start time, pink ball and flood lights options to avoid the bad weather and dim light affects during the 3rd Test between Pakistan and England.

The decisions and arrangements have to be made promptly as 3rd test is scheduled for 21st-25th August.

The 2nd test match remained continuously disturbed by rain as Pakistan could play only one innings and England was not even able to complete its first innings.

Two Main Problems:

1- Bad weather such as rain.

2- Dim light specifically during late hours of the daily game.

Suggestions From British Cricket Professionals:

Chris Silverwood, Joe Root and Michael Vaughan have put forward following suggestions:

1- For the 3rd test Chris Silverwood, the Head Coach of England, has suggested early match start time of 10:30 BST-British Summer Time instead of 11, pink ball and flood lights.

2- Joe Root, the England team captain, also stressed the need to do something to resolve the issues of bad weather and dim light.

3- Michael Vaughan, former England team captain, emphasised on involving the ICC International Cricket Council to address the problems smoothly.

The ECB England and Wales Cricket Board is responsible for taking appropriate decisions to ensure smooth world class cricket that is not much affected by harsh factors such as bad weather and dim light.
