The 19 years old Iga Świątek of Poland became the champion of the French Open 2020.
Świątek defeated World No. 4 Sofia Kenin 2-0 (6-4, 6-1) in Final Match of the event in ladies singles category.
In the recent past, Świątek stunned the World No. 1 Simona Halep by defeating her in Fourth Round of FO 2-0 (6-1, 6-2), thereafter she defeated Martina Trevisan 2-0 (6-3, 6-1) in Quarter Final and won from Nadia Podoroska 2-0 (6-2, 6-1) in Semi Final.
The three youngest top ranked golf players are Iga Świątek, Amanda Anisimova and Coco Gauff.
The French Open with a prize money of 38 million EUR will culminate on 11th October with the Final Match between World No. 1 Novak Djokovic and the defending champion Rafael Nadal in men’s singles category.
