The Pakistan men’s cricket team South Africa tour during April 2021, has been confirmed by PCB-Pakistan Cricket Board.

During the tour, Pakistan will play 3 ODIs and as many T20s.

The tour was originally scheduled during September-October 2020, but was postponed due to the peak level of Coronavirus cases in South Africa.

PCB elaborated that the tour would be part of the Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League. The league as per rules requires each team to play four home and as many away series, thereby, determine that who qualifies for the Men’s World Cup in 2023, to be held in India.

Further, the top seven teams will win a spot in the tournament, while hosts India automatically qualify.

Pakistan start the qualifying campaign in the Super League with a three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe, starting Friday, 30th October in Rawalpindi.

Pakistan has agreed to fulfil its Future Tour Programme commitment prior to visiting Zimbabwe for two Tests and three T20Is. The schedule of both the series will be announced in due course.
