Day 1 Overview
The first singles match, was a one sided affair with Pakistan star player, Aisam ul Haq Qureshi outclassing David Agung Susanto in straight sets 6-1, 6-4.
In the 2nd Singles, experienced Pakistan No.1 Aqeel Khan beat Gunawan Trismuwantara 7-5,6-4 in an exciting match. Gunawan served for the first set at 5-4, but Aqeel fought back gallantly to take the next three games, and the set, 7-5. Aqeel broke his opponent early in the second set and kept control of the remaining set to win 6-4 and give Pakistan a 2-0 lead.

The Davis Cup World Group-II Tie Pakistan vs. Indonesia is scheduled on 16th and 17th September 2023 at Aisam-ul-Haq Tennis Pavilion, Pakistan Sports Complex, Islamabad.
The Pakistan team, is spearheaded by Aisam ul Haq Qureshi. Includes Aqeel Khan, Muhammad Shoaib, Muhammad Abid, and debutant Barkat Ullah.
Former Davis Cup Player, Mushaf Zia is the coach and Muhammad Shahid the team physio.
The Indonesian Davis Cup team comprising of Wirjawan Sugiharta the playing Captain, David Agung Susanto, Ignatius Anthony Susanto, and M. Gunawan Trismuwantara.

The ITF Referee, Mr. Hany Hamied Ali ElKhafief from Egypt will supervise the tie.
