Juventus is knocked out during the ECL-European Champions League 2020 quarter finals by Lyon.

Juve needed 3 goals to move to the next stage as per the ‘away goal rule’ but could score only 2 goals. Although, Juve won match against Lyon by 2-1 but due to not being able to score 3 goals they were ousted from the League.

Juve have been losing the championship since 1996. On the other hand, Juve won the 9th title of Serie A in a row few days ago.

After the exit from the championship, Andrea Agnelli, the president of Juve showed mixed feelings on the outcomes of the two events. While he was sad for losing the championship yet he was happy on winning Serie A for a record 9 times successively.

Further, Agnelli confirmed to retain the superstar Ronaldo till the next year end but he refrained from giving any comments about the coach Maurizio Sarri.

It is worth mentioning that Lyon will face Manchester City in semi finals of the championship on 15 August.
