The Court of Arbitration for Sports overturned the two year ban imposed on Manchester City. Due to this ruling the club team will be able to play in the Champions League from next season.

However, the Court of Arbitration imposed a € 10 million (US $11.3 million) fine as the club management did not cooperate with the investigation team.

The club in a tweet message welcomed the decision.

The case was opened by the investigators appointed by the UEFA, the German magazine Der Spiegel published during November 2018, certain leaked documents of Manchester City officials, which were supposedly obtained from a Portuguese hacker.

The club had denied any wrongdoing, and stated that it there were irrefutable evidence that the claims being made were not true.
