A new track – Deodoro circuit,  is under construction for the forthcoming Brazilian GP Grand Prix in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.

In the past, the Brazilian GPs had been held at Sao Paulo’s Interlagos circuit since 1990. The contract between Formula One and Interlagos circuit owner expired this year. In addition, the Brazilian GP 2020 had been cancelled due to the corona pandemic.

The Formula One owner – US Group Liberty Media is interested in holding the forthcoming Brazilian GP at under construction Deodoro circuit.

In addition, Jair Bolsonaro – President of Brazil also supported construction of new Deodoro circuit which involves building in the Camboata Forest.

Deodoro circuit is being designed and constructed in a way that it would be the first zero-carbon circuit on the Formula One calendar.
