Toronto Raptors overcame their injury problems to extend their winning streak to 15 games after defeating Minnesota Timberwolves 137-126 in their recent NBA – National Basketball Association fixture.

Raptors were trailing in the early quarters after their star player Serge Ibaka was forced to withdraw minutes before the tip-off. However, they came through in the later play thanks to Pascal Siakam’s 34 points.

The Eastern Conference leaders Milwaukee Bucks too were without their top performer Giannis Antetokounmpo who has been spending time with his newborn but still managed to down Sacramento Kings 123-111 to seal their position on top. Khris Middleton and Eric Bledsoe rallied their side to the victory with 28 points each.

In the Western Conference schedule, Los Angeles Lakers defeated Phoenix Suns 125-100 to maintain their lead on the points table thanks to Anthony Davis’s 25 and LeBron James’s 17 points.

Lakers are now just three games ahead of Denver Nuggets who secured the second spot after their latest 127-120 win over the San Antonio Spurs.

In the final game of the night, Utah Jazz defeated Dallas Mavericks 123-119 despite last-minute heroics of Tim Hardaway Jr who added 33 points but fell short of complete recovery.
