The Toronto Raptors defeated Cleveland Cavaliers 115-109 in the latest round of NBA’s Eastern Conference fixtures to extend their winning streak to nine games.

Raptors managed to surge ahead in a close fight thanks to Serge Ibaka’s 26 and Kyle Lowry’s 23 points but it was Norman Powell who helped widen the divide by hitting eight consecutive points in the very last minute.

The victory meant that Raptors now have cemented their second spot in the Eastern Conference Points table winning 9 out 10 games they have so far played in this season.

On the other hand, Cavaliers have now lost 9 out of their 10 home games and the latest one counted as 9th straight defeat and that too at the home ground.

In other games of the night, Boston Celtics played their first match after the shocking death of NBA legend Kobe Bryant in a helicopter crash last Sunday. Late Bryant was commemorated with an emotional video tribute followed by a 24-seconds silence honoring his 24-number jersey.

Celtics defeated the Golden State Warriors 119-104 as Gordon Hayward scored 25 and Marcus Smart 21 to provide their side with their fifth straight victory.

The match between LA Clippers and Sacramento Kings also began with a tribute to Kobe Bryant and Kings went on to win the game 124-103 thanks to De’Aaron Fox’s season-high 34 points.
