The regulatory body PTA Pakistan Telecommunication Authority has lifted ban on online game PUBG. The decision was made after a meeting between PTA and legal representatives of the PB Proxima Beta Pte Ltd, the data controlling company for PUBG. PB apprised PTA of measures taken by company and assured of continued engagement with PTA and a comprehensive control mechanism for PUBG.

Few days ago PUBG Corporation contacted PTA Pakistan Telecommunication Authority to resolve the issue of ban on game. The Corp assured cooperation in this regard with local authorities for a solution based on the local customs, laws, and regulations.

The online multiplayer game PUBG had been banned in Pakistan by PTA as being “addictive” and harmful for players.The decision of regulatory body PTA regarding ban was mainly based on following factors:
