Highlights:

• Everton and Liverpool showed excellent defense tactics as neither side allowed the other to score any goals today.
• Liverpool had a high percentage of possession but that could not provide them with a goal, meanwhile Everton showed confidence as it denied the Premier League’s 3rd place holders a chance to win.

Match 2 of 9: Stoke City Vs Tottenham

Result: 1 – 2

• Stoke City: Mame Biram Diouf 57’
• Tottenham: Christian Eriksen 52’, 63’

Highlights:

• Both teams did not allow each other to score in the first half but as soon as the second half started Christian Eriksen opened the scoring line for his team.
• However, a counter goal was scored by Mame Biram and only 4 minutes after that Eriksen struck again and the scoreline was now 1-2.
• Stoke city did not recover from Eriksen’s double strike and lost the match 1-2 in the end.

Highlights:

• After a dry first half both teams put their best efforts in the 2^nd half. Watford opened the scoring line as Roberto Pereyra put his team in the front. Their efforts of keeping their possession at 61% was finally paying off now.
• However, a swift comeback was made by Burnley FC as Sam Vokes and Jack Cork scored two goals between them in 3 minutes to turn the match upside down. It was a close match and although Watford had 5 shots on target they could only convert one of them which led them to their loss.

Highlights:

• Both these teams were pretty average today, Brighton stood 13^th in the table and needed a few wins to at least find a place in the top 10. Huddersfield meanwhile, had lost 17 matches and did not want to sink any further down the table.
• So, Brighton opened the scoring line in this match as Jonas scored at the 29^th minute that put his team in command. Huddersfield replied with a goal as Steve Mounie netted the ball in the 32^nd minute.
• At half time the score was 1 – 1. However, in the second half Brighton’s player Davy Propper was given a red card but not before his 74^th minute goal helped his team to win the match.

Highlights:

• The currently 15^th ranked team Swansea City should have won the match against the last ranked team in the premier league. But, this match also ended in a draw.
• Surprisingly, West Brom took 15 shots at the goal post but only 3 were on target of which only one was converted to a goal. Meanwhile, Swansea City only took 7 shots with only 1 on target and that was their only goal in the match.
• Both teams scored their individual goals in the second half as the match came to a draw and both teams did not rise in the table.

Highlights:

• Bournemouth were the favorites to win this match due to their superiority in the premier league table as they ranked No.11^th and wanted to break into the top 10 after this win.
• However, as they say never-under estimate a weaker time. As, that’s what Crystal Palace did when their timely attacks helped them to draw the match against their rival team. With only a 6% difference in possession it was a close fought match and the result came as expected.

Highlights:

• It was a match between two well-balanced teams and it was always going be interesting as Newcastle was playing at their home. Both teams had won their last matches and were looking to build on their streak by winning this match.
• But the home advantage came into play as Newcastle scored 2 goals, one in the first and the second in the other half to win the match and improve its ranking from 11th to 10^th.
• On the other hand, Leicester City could only manage to score one goal in the 83^rd minute but it was too late to score another as Newcastle won the match.

Highlights:

• It was a high-profile match between the table toppers, Manchester City and the 2^nd in the premier league Manchester United. It was going to be a thriller as both teams had massive support and were in top form.
• Manchester City had only lost one match at this point but they were in for a surprise as Paul Pogba’s return to form and Smalling’s finishing touches handed them their 2^nd defeat of the season.
• City were leading in the first half by 2 – 0 but Manchester United led by Paul Pogba helped them win the match and retain their second position at the table.
