Highlights & Analysis
    1. It would be fitting to call this match, ‘The Darren Sammy Show’, because it truly did end up being just that. Having suffered a knee injury earlier on in the match, it was highly unlikely that Sammy would be able to bat in his side’s chase. However, with the game on the line, Darren Sammy showed the guts that he has become renowned for. Cometh the hour, cometh the man. He came in with 17 runs required off the last 9 balls. He would need just 4 balls. 4 balls to gather a run, strike a four and blast two sixes which would hand Peshawar a famous win.
    2. Wahab Riaz, Umaid Asif and the rest of the Zalmi bowlers deserve a lot of credit as well. After having been initially put on the back foot by a strong innings from Shane Watson, they recovered well to stop the Gladiators from putting up too big a total. Disciplined and consistent, they didn’t give away any cheap runs. This made a big difference in the end.
    3. Quetta’s team will be kicking themselves for letting the match slip from their grasp after having played themselves into a favorable position before the start of the 19th over. Poor bowling and questionable captaincy meant that a good chance for gaining a victory passed them by.
    4. Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi both have equal points from the same number of matches. However, Quetta still remain above Peshawar with a superior run rate.
