Siffa Hassan of Netherlands has become new world champion by running 18,930 m in 60 minutes to set new One Hour World Record during the Brussels Diamond League 2020. Hassan is also world champion for 10,000 m and 5,000 m running.

The Runner up was Brigid Kosgei of Kenya.

The previous record was of Dire Tune who ran 18,517 m in an hour during 2008 at the age of 27 years.

Mo Farah who is 4 times Olympic champion has challenged to break this record on next Friday at the same place.
