Gary Russell Jr. the current WBC Featherweight World Champion Gary has confirmed that he will be facing Tugstsogt Nyambayar on February 8 to defend his title from Mandatory challenge.

The upcoming showdown will be Russell Jr.’s fifth defense of the coveted title and this time his challenger will be the 2012 Olympics medalist nicknamed “King Tug” who has remained unbeaten so far in 11 fights.


The 31-year-old American boxer has lost only one of his 31 career fights to date. With 18 KOs, he is considered one of the quickest fighters in the featherweight category.


The title fight will be the headline Boxing Champions event of February line up and will be streamed live from PPL Center in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Former world champions Guillermo Rigondeaux and Liborio Solís will also be facing each other at the same event for the currently vacant WBA Bantamweight World Title
