ICC-International Cricket Council announced that the 2021 T20 World Cup of Cricket, will be held from 17th October to 14th November.

Shifted to Oman and UAE from India due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2021 edition will be played the first time since 2016, which was held in India and won by West Indies by defeating England.

The first round matches involving the eight qualifying teams, will now be divided between Oman and UAE, and played in three venues – Dubai International Stadium, the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, the Sharjah Stadium, and the Oman Cricket Academy Ground.

The preliminary stage eight teams include: Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Ireland, Netherlands, Scotland, Namibia, Oman and Papua New Guinea. Four of these teams will progress to the Super 12s round, where they will join the eight teams which are automatic qualifiers.
