Steve Johnson beat the World No. 16 John Isner 3-2 (6-7, 6-3, 6-7, 6-3, 7-6).

World No. 26 Filip Krajinovic won from Mikael Ymer 3-0 (6-2, 7-6, 6-3).

World No. 28 Jan-Lennard Struff defeated Martinez Portero 3-0 (6-0, 7-5, 6-4).

Women’s Singles:

During Round 1 a total of 21 out of 37 matches for the women’s category had been played for the 140th US Open 2020 on 31st August.

World No. 4 Naomi Osaka beat Misaki Doi 2-1 (6-2, 5-7, 6-2).

World No. 8 Petra Martic won from Tereza Martinkova 2-1 (5-7, 6-2, 6-4).
