Recently, several female athletes after discovering that photographs had been taken of their body parts during various events, had filed complaints with the JAAF-Japan Association of Athletics Federations.

Based on which the JOC-Japanese Olympic Committee, the Japan Sport Association and All Japan High School Athletic Federation after due deliberations are expected to recommend measures which will protect the female competiting athletes from being photographed in a close sexual manner and widely circulated on thte social media.

Mr. Yoji Kudo, a JAAF legal committee legal member, stated that it is important to enact a new law due to which the non-consensual photography would not be allowed and thereby, protect the participants of Tokyo Olympic and future events.

The summer games, which were postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, are set to take place next year, from 23rd July to 8th August.
