Tour of Flander (Cycling) Classic: Dutchman Niki Terpstra Dominates

Niki Terpstra hails from a Dutch background and is a professional racing cyclist. He represents UCI Pro Team Quick-Step Floors and his achievements include winning the Tour of Flanders spring classics and the Paris-Roubaix.

Recently, the professional cyclist claimed another trophy to his name as he won the Tour of Flanders that was being held in Belgium.

He achieved the feat after he managed to successfully launch an attack and win the 264.7km one-day classic.

Terpstra managed to bypass the leading pack when only 29 km were left and from there on he dominated throughout the race.

Vincenzo Nibali who had won the Milan-San Remo this year could not manage to come in the top three as he came eighth in this race.

Terpstra on the other hand was on the moon after this race as he termed it as a dream come true for him. He won the race followed byMads Pedersen and  Philippe Gilbert who came 2nd and 3rd respectively.
