Result: Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez and Andreja Klepac defeated Magdalena Rybarikova and Petra Martic by 6-3, 7-5.

Highlights:

  • Although, Magdalena Rybarikova and Petra Martic took a perfect start as they took the lead of the first set but they failed to extend it large enough for the opponent pair.
  • But in the end, Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez and Andreja Klepac claimed their victory in the opening set of the match as Magdalena Rybarikova and Petra Martic lost some points on their serve.

  • In the second set, Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez and Andreja Klepac opened the scoring of this set and were playing confidently.
  • However, in the end, Magdalena Rybarikova and Petra Martic again faced defeat in the second set as they both failed to score points on a total of two serves.

Result: Kiki Bertens and Johanna Larsson defeated Maryna Zanevska and Arina Rodionova by 2-6, 7-6(2), 6-2.

Highlights:

  • Maryna Zanevska and Arina Rodionova took a brilliant start by taking the lead in the opening set of the match.
  • However, they faced a terrible defeat in the end as Kiki Bertens and Johanna Larsson did not let them score more than a total of two points throughout the set.

  • In the second set, a tough battle was witnessed between the two pairs as the set eventually came to a tie-breaker.
  • But again, Kiki Bertens and Johanna Larsson won the set as Maryna Zanevska and Arina Rodionova dropped some easy points on their serve in the end.

  • Again a resilient fight was witnessed between the two pairs in the third set but again, Kiki Bertens and Johanna Larsson claimed their win in the end by a total of two points.
  • Kiki Bertens and Johanna Larsson finally booked their place into the round of 16 of Wimbledon 2018 will now play against Abigail Spears and Alicja Rosolska.

 

Double’s: Timea Babos and Kristina Mladenovic vs Anastasia Rodionova and Nadiia Kichenok

Result: Timea Babos and Kristina Mladenovic defeated Anastasia Rodionova and Nadiia Kichenok by 6-2, 6-2.

Highlights:

  • In the first set, Timea Babos and Kristina Mladenovic gave a humiliating defeat to Anastasia Rodionova and Nadiia Kichenok as they both failed to score more than a total of two points.
  • However, Anastasia Rodionova and Nadiia Kichenok again struggled hard in the next set but they again failed to win it in the end as they both were only able to make a total of two points throughout the set.

  • Although, Anastasia Rodionova and Nadiia Kichenok scored four points on an ace as compared to Timea Babos and Kristina Mladenovic who only scored a total of two aces, but still they lost both sets in the end.

  • Timea Babos and Kristina Mladenovic finally made it to the round of 16 where they will face Kirsten Flipkens and Monica Niculescu in the Wimbledon 2018.

 

Double’s: Kveta Peschke and Nicole Melichar vs Fanny Stollar and Georgina Garcia Perez

Result: Kveta Peschke and Nicole Melichar defeated Fanny Stollar and Georgina Garcia Perez by 6-2, 6-4.

Highlights:

  • Fanny Stollar and Georgina Garcia Perez faced a terrific defeat in the first set as they were only able to score a total of two points in the first set.
  • However, Fanny Stollar and Georgina Garcia Perez put up a good fight in the second set as the score became levelled at 4-4.

  • But in the end, Kveta Peschke and Nicole Melichar again successfully manage to seal their win in this set as they scored the last two points in quick succession.

  • Kveta Peschke and Nicole Melichar sealed their place into the round of 16 where now they will face Bethanie Mattek-Sands and Lucie Safarova in the Wimbledon 2018.
