CIES Football Observatory has released the ranking of world’s most expensive football players. The ranking is based on a research study of the best 100 players of the year from Europe’s five major football leagues.

Kylian Mbappe price tagged at €231.1million captures the No.1 slot and is declared the most valuable footballer of the year.

PSG star Kylian Mbappe a French professional footballer and a player of Paris Saint-Germain, is at the top position with a wide margin of €64.5million.

Raheem Sterling occupies the second slot valued at €194.7 million. Jadon Sancho midfielder of Dortmund midfielder ranks thirds with €179.1 million price tag.

The top ten includes:

  • Liverpool’s Mohammed Salah – €129.2m
  • Liverpool’s Sadio Mane – €124.1m
  • Barcelona’s Antoine Griezmann – €121.6m
  • Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies – €119m
  • Tottenham’s Harry Kane – €105.8m
